Who the data fiduciary is
For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 the data fiduciary — and the data controller under the UK and EU GDPR — is Mrinal Singh Raja, an individual publishing under the name "MSRX". MSRX is a brand name, not a registered company. Requests and grievances, including any under India's Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, go to mrinalsinghraja@gmail.com.
The short version
StoryQuest does not require an account, profile, name, email address, or date of birth to explore missions.
Information processed
When you visit the site, hosting infrastructure may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, and request logs to deliver and protect the service. StoryQuest itself does not provide fields for personal information in its mission flow.
Mission activity
Mission choices and simulator controls are used in your browser to run the experience. This version of StoryQuest does not create a personal learner profile or store mission history on our servers.
Cookies
StoryQuest sets no cookies of its own and uses no advertising cookies.
Anonymous visit counts
We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which is part of the service that hosts this site. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. For each page view it records the page address, the site that linked you here, an approximate location (country, region and city) worked out from the request, and your browser, operating system and type of device. Anything after a ? or # in the address is removed before the count is sent, because that part can hold something you typed. It does not store your IP address: visitors are told apart only by a hash of the request that Vercel discards after 24 hours, so a page view cannot be tied to you, to your other visits, or to what you do on other websites. What we see is totals: how many people opened which mission. On this plan Vercel shows the figures for a month and may keep them longer, and we copy the daily total for each app into a private dashboard; neither describes any individual. We count visits because knowing whether StoryQuest is used is in our legitimate interest, and the count is built so that it cannot identify anyone, including a child. A content blocker, or turning JavaScript off, stops the count and changes nothing else about the site.
The AI narrative
Missions can have their story text rewritten by a large language model hosted by Groq. What is sent is the authored mission itself — its scenario, its equation and its wording — not anything about you. Your controls, your answers and your progress stay in your browser and are never sent anywhere. If the model is unavailable the authored story is shown instead, so the feature can fail without you noticing and without any data leaving your device.
Third parties
The site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may process technical request data as a service provider to host, secure, and deliver the website, and counts page views anonymously as described above.
Children
StoryQuest is designed for educational exploration. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the mission interface.

We may revise this policy as the product changes. The latest version will always be available on this page with its updated date.
